The first team, members include Jullian, KaChi, Charis and Kelvin, left Brazil on Sunday evening, and arrived at East Coast. We are waitting for our transfer flight back to San Francisco. The second team will be leaving from Brazil this evening, and arrived SF on Tuesday afternoon. Please pray for our health and a safe trip back home.

Thanksgiving:

1. It took us about five hours to travel to Rio das Ostras today. Praise the Lord, it was a safe trip overall.

2. There were three new friends accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior tonight.

1. 今天我們用了五個小時來到蠔海. 我們都非常疲倦. 一路上很多驚險的車程, 但卻蒙神的保守.

2. 間晚在號海的聚會有三位新朋友出氣, 他們都在今晚接受耶穌為他們的生命救主.

3. 在蠔海家庭聚會的地方我們可方便上網, 所以我們可以即時把更新擺上.

4. 今天早上探訪的時候有一位新朋友接受耶穌成為她的生命救主.

2. 明天我們繼續會探訪, 晚上會帶領兩個講座, 其中一個在Niteroi, 求主給我們今天晚上有好的休息.

今天早上吃過早餐後，陳傳道帶著我們到里約市中心，參觀當地著名的天主教堂、海灘及到耶穌山。 回來後，又開始準備明天一整天的行程及聚會。

We had a very relax day today.  Evangelist Chan brought us to Rio’s downtown, and see the Catholic church, the famous beach at Rio, and mountain of Jesus.

代禱﹕

1. 明天我們講會到Caxias市（離教會一個小時的路程），探訪當地的華人。

2. 下午四時，我們將出發到蠔海市（三個小時的車程）帶領福音聚會（這地方是陳傳道近日才開始的福音站），晚上十時聚會才開始，請為我們的工作禱告。

3. 為我們半夜十二時過後回程的安全禱告，相信我們會在清晨才能回到教會休息。

4. 請繼續為我們身體上的健康禱告。

1. We will travel to Caxias tomorrow, around an hour of transportation, to visit and share the gospel to the local Chinese residents.

2. We also will travel to Oyster city, around 3 hours of transportation, tomorrow at around 4pm.  Since the meeting starts at 10pm, so when we are heading back to Rio, it will be at midnight.  Please pray for our safety.

Due to NO internet access for the past three days, no update was posted. More update from our team will be posted later tomorrow.

感恩﹕

1. 昨晚我們在東方旅店住宿，地方雖然簡陋，但大家晚上有好的休息。

2. 今天早上的靈修由Kelvin帶領，我們一共十三人（除九位隊員外，加上基督徒的巴西人司機，里約的陳傳道和聖約瑟的李傳道夫婦）聚集一起思考、默想及禱告。

3. 上午我們到了聖保羅25街出名的走私大樓派發福音單張給店舖裏的華人。感謝神！我們大家都有機會學習開口傳講福音。

4.  下午到了信心教會，在學習葡語的華人課室裏分享福音。

5.  晚上在華傳教會帶領『精神壓力的處理』，會後我們有機會個別的關心多位弟兄姊妹的需要和為他們禱告。

6. 聚會後已經是十一時，我們乘夜車回里約，感謝神平安帶領我們的安全，到達里約已經是清早四時三十分。

1. We all have a good rest at “East Motel” last night.
2. The devotion sharing were led by Kelvin in this morning.  Thirteen of us include Rio’s evangelist, San Paulo’s evangelists, and the driver, gathered together to share and pray for each other.
3. Thanks God for giving us an opportunity to share the gospel to the local Chinese merchants at 25^th Street.
4. We then went to visit “faith” church , and shared the gospel to the Chinese students who are learning Portuguese.
5. At night, we led a workshop called “Coping stresses” .  After the workshop, we have an opportunity to meet with the brothers and  sisters  to care their needs, and pray for their stresses.
6. It was already 11pm after the meeting,  Thanks God for protecting us when we are on the way back to Rio.  It was 4:30am when we arrived at Rio in the next morning.

Blessing:

1. This is the seventh day of our BSTM. We thank God for all the blessing and guidance.

2. We left Nova Iguacu this morning around 8:30am, traveled for about 6 hours, and arrived at San Paulo, Brazil.

3. We are tired, but we are healthy.

Prayer for us:

1. The temperature in San Paulo is somewhat cooler than Nova Iguacu, pray that we have good health.

2. Please pray for our safety in San Paulo because robbery happens frequently in some areas. We will stay in San Paulo until tomorrow evening.

3. Pray for a joyful heart in all of us because we will be gathering with the brothers and sisters in San Paulo tonight.

1. 感謝神! 我們這次巴西短宣行程已經邁進了第七天, 一直看到神的保守與帶領.

2. 今天早上用過早膳後, 我們準時在八點三十分出發, 經過約六小時的車程, 我們平安經過聖約瑟, 抵達了聖保羅.

3.  各人的身體雖然疲倦, 但健康有力量.

代禱﹕

1. 聖保羅的天氣較清涼, 求主賜我們身體上的健康.

2. 聖保羅的治安不是很好, 經常有搶劫等罪案, 請為我們的安全禱告. 我們明天還會留在聖保羅繼續服侍一天.

3. 今天晚上，我們將在不同的華人教會帶領聚會，請為我們禱告。

Give thanks:

1. We praise Lord that after a full day of rest, KaChi is getting a lot better from sickness.

2. It is a slow day for us today, so we can prepare for our trip to San Paulo tomorrow. It is going to be a two days program/training/workshops.

3. This morning we stayed at Nova Iguacu for visiting; in the evening we led two workshops. We are touched because of seeing much enthusiasm from the local brothers and sisters.

Prayer request:

1. Please pray for good weather, and our health.

2. We will be leaving from Nova Iguacu tomorrow morning at 8:30am to San Paulo, where we will meet with two more missionaries. It is going to take us about 5-6 hours to travel from Nova Iguacu to San Paulo. Please pray for our safety.

3. We will facilitate workshops tomorrow afternoon and evening at different Chinese churches in San Paulo. Please keep this in your prayer.

4. The latest workshop will start at 9:30pm tomorrow, and end around 12am. Pray that we have good night sleep and good health.

1. 感謝神！KaChi 弟兄經過一天的休息，恢復了健康和體力。

2. 短宣隊今天放慢了些腳步，大家多些時間的休息，準備明天出發到聖保羅，

Thanksgiving:

1. We thank God for His goodness, we have been serving in Brazil for three days.

2. Last night, we divided into three teams and served in two locations, they are Niteroi and Nova Iguacu. At Niteroi, we were meeting at a Christian’s home. It was almost 12am when we came back to church, but we thank God for our safety. The other two groups met at the Church at Nova Iguacu, and more there were more than 40 participants. The evening programs usually start at 9:30pm (that’s when most people here get off from work) and end at 12am. After debriefing and prayer meetings, it was almost 2am when most of us went to sleep.

3. The Chinese church at Nova Iguacu offers free Portugal classes for new immigrants on Sunday, we shared the gospel and personal testimony with the students.

4. Worship service was led by our short term mission team today. Praise the Lord, a couple of non-Christian we invited in the last two days attended the service.

5. Two workshops were given in the afternoon, many brothers and sister, even new friends in the family participated.

Prayer request:

1. One of our team members is being sick, please pray for our health.

2. Visiting and gospel sharing tomorrow morning and afternoon; two workshops in the evening.

3. Our safety.

感恩﹕

1. 蒙神保守和帶領，在巴西的服事已經是第三天了。

2. 昨天晚上，隊員們分成三組，其中一組到了NITEROI （離開教會一個半小時的行程）帶領家庭聚會，回到教會已經是晚上十二時，但路上蒙神的看顧。另外兩組時在教會舉行的兩個講座，也有40多位弟兄接的參與。（教會的聚會通常是在晚上9:30開始舉行，十二時才完全結束。等到我們檢討及禱告後，往往是上床休息已經時早上兩點了。

3. 教會為了那些剛從大陸來巴西的華人開設了葡語班，我們也有機會在他們中間分享福音。

4. 今天的主日崇拜聚會由我們短宣隊負責。感謝神帶領了幾位我們邀請的新朋友參加崇拜聚會。

5. 晚上也帶領了『親子關係』與『男女關係』的兩個講座，感謝神給我們有機會與當地弟兄姊妹個別的分享幾見證。

代禱﹕

1. 隊員中其中一位身體不舒服（喉嚨痛），請為我們身體的健康禱告。

2. 為我們明天的探訪及晚上負責的兩個講座禱告。

3. 為我們出入的安全禱告。

Most of us were not able to sleep well last night due to the noisy environment around the church.

After the devotion in this morning, we split into two groups to visit and share gospels with the local Chinese residents (new immigrants and non-Christians) who work at the local pasteria (pastary stores) in Nova Iguacu.

We thank God for giving us the opportunity to meet with the local brothers and sisters to talk and pray for their struggles and needs.

昨晚教會(我們休息的地方)樓下因周末關係非常吵雜, 我們的隊員很多都因此到了好晚才能入睡. 請為我們的精神代禱.

今天早上我們靈修後, 便分成兩隊在市內(Nova Iguacu)的華人角仔格店舖裡進行探訪(已信主的)和做個人佈道(新移民/未信主的朋友).

感謝主的帶領, 我們今天有機會和本地的弟兄姊妹彼此溝通, 更多了解和關懷他們的需要. 同時還會和他們一起祈禱.

While we share our personal testimony and 4 spiritual laws with the non-Christians, several of them are willing to accept Jesus Christ as their saviors.  One of them only immigrated to Brazil for one week.

Please continue to pray for our health, few team members are not feeling too well physically.

主聽了大家的祈禱, 除了交給我們鬆土的工作, 也讓我們有收割的使命. 其中幾位未信主的朋友, 聽到我們與他們分享自己的見證和屬靈的四個定律後, 都願意接受耶穌基督成為他們的生命救主. 其中有一位新信的弟兄移民到這裡只有一星期. 感謝主.

請為我們對員的身體健康祈禱, 特別是為身體有軟弱的.

Please pray for our missionary work tomorrow: 4 of our team members will travel four hours away (by bus) tomorrow for an all day evangelistic event. Please keep them in your prayers especially for their safety and unity. Two workshops in tomorrow evening, including one about couple relationship and one about parenting, will be open to families as outreach events. Please pray that God will use these workshops.

代禱事項: 明天我們會再次分成兩隊, 其中一對四人會從早上八點出發, 乘公車四小時到蠔海帶領一個二十人的聚會, 到晚上聚會完後再乘四小時公車回來. 請為他們的安全和服侍祈禱. 另外一隊會留在本地 Nova Iguacu, 早上與本地信徒外出探訪, 下午帶領音樂敬拜, 並晚上的兩個特別講座.

Today, two local evangelists led nine of us to Niteroi (about an hour and a half for transportation).   We split into two groups to visit and share gospel to the local Chinese who work at pastelaria (pastry store).  We thank God for giving us an opportunity to share the gospel and 4 spiritual laws to the non-Christians.

今天本地同工泉哥和珍姐帶領我們一團九位弟兄姊妹, 分成兩隊, 到Niteroi (需一個半小時公車時間)作探訪事工, 主要對象是未信主的角仔店店主和員工. 感謝主的帶領, 我們有機會跟幾位未信主的朋友分享福音和屬靈的四個定律.

While we share with 4 spiritual laws to the non-Christians, one of them accepted Jesus Christ as her savior.  May God’s grace be with her.

We also found out that many Chinese immigrants have many challenges to accept Jesus due to the traditional Chinese culture.

其中有一位因著福音接受耶穌成為生命救主. 其中還有幾位我們有機會和他們講四定律. 願上帝繼續賜恩.

我們體會到, 本地未信主的中國移民, 往往帶有拜祖先的習慣, 所以在傳福音和信主的道路上會有很多阻攔. 請大家為此祈禱.

We will be leading two workshops tonight.  Connie and Jullain will lead a workshop about music worship.

Another workshop will be led by Kelvin, which discusses current teenagers’ issue.

We will also visit and share gospel to the local Chinese store at Nova Igracu tomorrow.

We will have two workshops tomorrow, they are “individual gospel sharing skills” and “how to protect your hearing”.   There will be another workshop at Niteroi.

我們今晚會帶領兩個聚會. Connie和 Jullian 會帶領音樂敬拜訓練. 另外一個是關於青小年的講座. 請為我們的聚會祈禱.

明天, 我們會在當地(Nova Igracu)的華人店鋪作談訪.

After many hours of flying from San Francisco, we have finally arrived at “Rio” – our first stop at Brazil in this short term mission trip.

We met with the local evangelist – Chuan Ko, and discussed our tasks and visiting schedule for the next 12 days.

There are some challenges for our trip. The driver who is supposed to take us from Rio to San Paulo next week will not be available due to a conflict of schedule. However, God has provided us with an alternative driver. At this stage, we are still in the planning process, because the driver is not confirmed and we will stay at San Paulo for an additional day. Please keep us in your prayer.

This evening, we will have our first and foremost informal gathering with the brothers and sisters at the church. Workshops will begin at tomorrow evening.

感謝神經過十幾個小時的行程終於平安到達巴西里約熱內盧, 開始我們的短宣.

我們有機會與本地宣教同工泉哥有很好的溝通和分享, 同時, 我們繼續為本次的行程討論時間表何需要.

為我們的需要代禱: 原本要接送我們到聖保羅的一位弟兄因事而要離開里約熱內盧, 在我們頭疼要去處理如何計畫我的聖保羅的行程時, 感謝神, 祂為我們提供另為一位業如司機. 因司機不便在夜間開車, 我們可能會在聖保羅多留一天. 請繼續為我們代禱.
