COVID-19 Health Guidelines on Church Property

Current as of: August 20, 2021 (Subject to state, county, and city mandates)

The goal of this document is to maintain the health and well-being of each individual who enters the church property. This includes any employee, support staff, or guest. GGCC guidelines may be more strict than the San Francisco city/county mandates, but will not be more lenient.

GGCC is not requiring that patrons/visitors be vaccinated or produce a negative covid-19 test in order to enter the building. All individuals are to perform a self-health evaluation prior to entering the building and interacting with others.

The following guidelines are for all indoor situations when people gather and interact with others. This includes Sunday Worship Services, classes, meetings, receptions, and other gatherings under 1,000 people in attendance. These guidelines comply with the current San Francisco county/city requirement (Order No. C19-07y, dated August 12, 2021).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to be fully vaccinated to enter the Church Building?

GGCC is not requiring that patrons/visitors be vaccinated or produce a negative covid-19 test in order to enter the building. All individuals are to perform a self-health evaluation prior to entering the building and interacting with others.

However, if you are participating in events that involves eating or fitness/recreational activity. You must be fully vaccinated and proof must be shown to the event coordinator.

Do we need to wear a mask even if I'm fully vaccinated?

All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask that completely covers their nose and mouth.

Can we eat inside the Church Building?

Yes, but it is highly discouraged.

Foods should be limited to the individual consuming it (for example, individual to-go containers from a restaurant or individual pre-packaged meals).

If food is served to a group (for example, buffet style or “family” style), then all participants at the event must be fully vaccinated and verify this status to the event leader/coordinator.

Is the group size limitation and 6ft social distancing rules still apply?

No, physical distancing is no longer required as per City’s guidances. There is no cap on attendees capacity as well.

When can we resume our in-person Fellowship / Small Groups in the Church Building?

Please contact your small groups coordinators. They will have information on how to resume in-person meetings within the Church Building.

Small Groups Coordinators – please contact our Office Manager (Vincent) for more information.
