Virtual Angel Tree 2020

Hi Brothers & Sisters of Golden Gate Christian Church,

We are excited to partner with Prison Fellowship to serve the children of prisoners this Christmas season through this new and flexible option for ministry. To ensure that you are able to access the website and effectively navigate and sponsor children, please note Golden Gate Christian Church URL and access code below. As a reminder, the Virtual-Direct option allows your church community to sponsor a child of a prisoner for $22 to receive a Christmas package on behalf of their incarcerated loved one. The Christmas package will include: a gift card to Walmart (based on selected sponsorship level), the prisoner parent’s message, a Gospel presentation, and an opportunity to request a free Adventure Bible.

If you have questions on the virtual process, please refer to Virtual Process link and the FAQs . And, if you have questions or concerns not addressed in these links, please contact our team at [email protected]. We are here to support you in making this virtual ministry opportunity a smooth and successful experience for you and your church community.

In addition, the permission to resume our In-Person Worship Services does not permit us to host Indoor Gatherings. Therefore, Golden Gate Christian Church will not be hosting Sunday Schools, Small Groups, Fellowships, and other Social Gatherings inside the building at this time. We encourage you to continue your gatherings online.

ACC and Opportunity Unlimited can resume operations given they follow the guidelines for non-profit and non-essential office.

March 27, 2020 | COVID-19 Update #3

Our church council has been keeping up to date on the COVID-19 news related developments. This global pandemic is serious and the likelihood of restoring our church activities to normal in the next couple of weeks seems very slim. Council has made decision to continue the suspension of all church activities within the church building until May 1st, except for church staff and for any essential activities.

We will continue to be alert of any changes by health officials of the city, state and federal. If there are any changes on the mandate of shelter in place be lifted sooner, we will be glad to re-open our church building for activities and meetings.

March 18, 2020 | COVID-19 Update #2

Hello GGCC Family,

The Psalmist writes in Chapter 46,

God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear.

And God responds, “Be still, and know that I am God!”
Let us be still and remember that God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving.

The city of San Francisco has issued a “shelter-in-place” order effective immediately through April 7. You should not leave your home unless it is for essential purposes. Therefore, the Council is continuing the suspension of all church activities in the church building immediately until further notice.

Trusting in the Lord,
GGCC Council
